General Submission Guidelines
Language
All abstracts and presentations must be submitted and delivered in English.
Submission format
Abstracts may only be submitted via the form below. Submissions sent by email or any other means will not be considered.
A confirmation email will be sent once your submission has been successfully received.

31 December 2026, 23:59 CET
Presenting author policy
Each participant may be listed as the presenting author for a maximum of two submissions.
There is no limit on co-authorship in submissions presented by others.
If the designated presenting author is unable to attend the conference, the organisers should be informed as soon as possible so that an alternative presenter may be arranged where feasible.
Publication
Accepted abstracts will be published on the conference website as submitted. Authors are therefore responsible for proofreading their submissions carefully.

Oral Presentation
Format
- 20-minutes presentation with 10 minutes for discussion
- Presentations will be grouped into thematic sessions
Submission requirements
- Title: maximum 40 words / 200 characters
- Authors: full names, email addresses, affiliations, and departments, ORCiD
- Keywords: 3–5
- Abstract: maximum 500 words / 3000 characters (without references)
Abstract structure

Poster Presentation
Format
- Posters will be displayed throughout the conference
- A dedicated poster session will allow authors to present and discuss their work
Poster specifications
- Maximum size: A0 portrait (84.1 × 118.9 cm)

Workshop
Format
Workshops are 80-minutes interactive sessions designed to actively engage participants in collaborative, experiential, or reflective learning.
Workshops may focus on:
- exploring a key issue or challenge,
- sharing and testing pedagogical approaches,
- co-creating ideas or resources,
- facilitating collaborative reflection or dialogue.
- discussing or practicing an (innovative) research methodology relevant to the theme of the conference
Because of the interactive nature of workshops, the number of accepted workshops will be limited, and participant capacity may be capped on a first-come, first-served basis.

- Title: maximum 40 words / 200 characters
- Authors/facilitators: full names, email addresses, affiliations, and departments
- Keywords: 3–5
- Abstract: maximum 500 words / 3000 characters

Presentation equipment
Standard presentation equipment will be available.
Symposium
Format
Symposia are 80-minutes thematic panel sessions bringing together multiple perspectives on a shared topic relevant to the conference themes.
Each symposium must include:
- one chair, responsible for introducing the session and moderating discussion
- exactly three individual contributions
This format is intended to ensure coherence across contributions while allowing sufficient time for meaningful discussion.
Submission requirements
Symposium proposals must be submitted as a single package including:
Symposium overview
- Symposium title: maximum 40 words / 200 characters
- Chair details: full name, email address, affiliation, and department
- Symposium abstract: maximum 500 words
This overview should explain:
- the rationale for the symposium,
- the common theme connecting the contributions,
- the intended contribution to conference discussions.
Individual contributions
For each of the three contributions:
- Contribution title: maximum 40 words / 200 characters
- Author details: full names, email addresses, affiliations, and departments
- Keywords: 3–5
- Abstract: maximum 500 words / 3000 characters
Recommended abstract structure
- Introduction
- Research question(s)
- Methodology
- Findings
- Conclusion and implications for theory and/or practice

Review Process
All submissions will be reviewed by two independent reviewers.
Reviewers will consider the following criteria:
- Relevance: alignment with the conference themes, relevance for climate change education theory and/or practice
- Background quality: clarity of rationale and theoretical or pedagogical grounding
- Methodological quality: appropriateness and coherence of methods or workshop design
- Quality of findings / expected outcomes: credibility, clarity, and alignment with the stated aims
Notification and Registration

Authors will be notified of the review outcome by 28 February 2027.
